Russian President arrives in Jordan


Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has arrived on a two day visit to the Middle East, and will visit the Palestinian territories and Jordan, ITAR-TASS reports.

The Russian president will hold talks with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, visit the museum of Arafat, and examine the museum and park complex of Jericho.

After the talks on bilateral relations and the Middle East settlement, the parties will sign several documents: a memorandum on cooperation between ministries of agriculture of the two countries, agreements on cooperation between the Russian Olympic Committee and the PNA and the agreement between the RIA Novosti and the Palestinian news agency WAFA. Medvedev and Abbas will also hold a joint conference, RIA Novosti reports.
