Russian, Turkish foreign ministers to head first Joint Strategic Planning Unit meeting

The first meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Unit will take place
on January 20 in Istanbul and will be headed by Russian Minister of
Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart, Ahmet
Davutoglu, Trend reports, citing the official website of the Russian
Foreign Ministry.

It will address issues of the organization of a new mechanism of the
Russian-Turkish cooperation established under the Cooperation Council
summit between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey. It
will also exchange views on a wide range of bilateral and
international agenda, including issues of European participation in
the Middle East settlement, the situation in the Balkans, the Caucasus
and other regions of the world.
