Armenian president holds talks in Greece

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is on a visit to Greece, where he
met his Greek counterpart Karolos Papoulias.


The sides discussed Armenian-Greek ties, improvement of
trade-economic, military and cultural cooperation and work on the
Eastern Partnership program. They also discussed international and
regional issues, including Nagorno-Karabakh.


The sides signed an agreement on military cooperation between the
Armenian and Greek Defense Ministries, a program on cooperation
between the Armenian and Greek governments in science, culture and
education for 2011-2013 and a memorandum on mutual understanding
between the Armenian and Greek Ministries of Culture to hold Days of
Armenian Culture in Greece in 2012 and Days of Greek Culture in
Armenia in 2013.


Serzh Sargsyan and Karolos Papoulias rounded up the results of the
meeting at a joint press conference. Serzh Sargsyan and his wife Rita
will visit the Acropolis and attend an official dinner in the evening.
