Khloponin hopes for crime reduction in Kabardino-Balkaria

The authorized presidential envoy to the North Caucasian Federal
District (NCFD), Alexander Khloponin, hopes for a reduction in crime
in Kabardino-Balkaria in the near future, where illegal armed
formations became active in 2010.

The police of the NCFD registered 117 crimes related to terrorism in
Kabardino-Balkaria in January-November 2010, compared with 21 such
crimes in 2009. Additional forces were sent to the republic.

The weak spots of Kabardino-Balkaria are the Baksan and Elbrus
Districts, Khloponin said, Izvestia reports on Wednesday.
