Russian authorized presidential envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) Alexander Khloponin will present a concept of the North Caucasian University in late February, Yuga.ru reports.
The university is expected to be founded in Stavropol. Khloponin did not clarify the higher education center to become the basis for the university.
Khloponin said in an interview with Izvestia that the university will train young people for the Strategy of Development of the NCFD until 2025. This includes technical and humanitarian professions to develop economic, construction, tourism, logistics, agro-industrial, fueld and energy spheres.
He emphasized that studies of Islam, culture and traditions of the Caucasus will not be left without attention.
Establishment of the North Caucasian Federal University was order by the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in early 2010.
