Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry concerned about “incomplete” information on EC's website

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has expressed its concern over
publication of a speech by the European Commission’s President, Jose
Manuel Barroso, to the foreign and local media during his visit to
Baku. According to the Azerbaijani Ministry, the speech posted on on
the official website of the European Commission is missing the
passages related to the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, which had
been removed and replaced with other statements, said the press center
of the Foreign Ministry.

A delegation of the European Commission headed Jose Manuel Barroso
arrived in Baku on the 13th of January. It was the first visit of the
European Commission to Azerbaijan during the presidency of Jose Manuel
Barroso. Barroso was accompanied by the EU Energy Commissioner,
Günther Oettinger.

At a press conference held jointly with President Ilham Aliyev,
Barroso addressed the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, among other
issues,and expressed support for the territorial integrity of
Azerbaijan.
