Stavropol Territory to manage airport of Mineralnye Vody for two months

The state-owned corporation Rostekhnologii has concluded preparation
of separation balance sheets of the federal state unitary enterprise
Kavminvodyavia for the airport of Mineralnye Vody and the air company
Kavminvodyavia, Kommersant reports.

After corporatization of assets, Kavminvodyavia, together with the
Orenburg Airlines and ‘Russia’, will be put under the management of
Aeroflot. The airport of Mineralnye Vody will be on the balance of the
Russian Federal Air Transport Agency and Stavropol Territory.

Oleg Deripaska's company Basel and Roman Trotsenko's Novaport are
competing for the airport.

The airport currently costs 800 million rubles, but its price may rise
in March 2011 after the launch of a runway capable of serving Boeing
737s and Airbus 320s.

The airport's shares will most likely be for sale within half a year.

The managing director of Basel, Denis Ilyin, confirmed that the
holding is interested in the airport. Basel controls airports in
Sochi, Krasnodar, Gelendzhik and Anapa.

Novaport refused to comment on the issue.
