2,200 young families to get accommodation in Kabardino-Balkaria within 5 years

Kabardino-Balkaria has approved the republic's program on
accommodation for young families. Over 2,200 (about 15%) of young
families will receive housing, Yuga.ru reports.


The program received 3.4 billion rubles of financing, 1 billion of
them from the federal budget, 345 million from the republic and
municipal budget and 2 billion from its own funds and loans, the
press-service of the republic’s head reports.


Hachim Kulterbayev, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing
and Utilities, said that any young family with parents aged under 35
or a single-parent family aged under 35 with one or more children that
are needing their housing conditions improved, may take part in the
program.


The norm is 18 square meters per family member. An average square
meter in Kabardino-Balkaria was worth 24,800 rubles in late 2010. A
young family needs to have a 60% share of of the housing price, on its
own or in credit funds.


742 young families in Kabardino-Balkaria have improved their housing
conditions in the last 4 years with the help of a similar program.
