Visa-free regime between Russia and Turkey could be in force in April

A visa-free regime between Russia and Turkey could already be
introduced in April 2011, the general director for information of the
Ministry for Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Cumhur Guven Tashbashy,
has announced, Interfax reports.

Cumhur Guven Tashbashy added that, by introducing this procedure,
Turkey will lose a substantial fee of $20 from every Russian paying
for entry into Turkey, but he expressed confidence that the amount
they spend in the country will be much more than the cost of the visa.

After the introduction of the visa-free regime, citizens of  Russian
and Turkey will be able to visit each others' countries without visas
for up to 30 days.
