Azerbaijani president to visit Davos

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is on a visit to Davos,
Switzerland, the president’s press-secretary said.


The president will take part in the traditional World Economic Forum.
He will have bilateral meetings with officials from various countries
and heads of well-known companies.


The World Economic Forum has been held annually since 1971. It is one
of the largest platforms for economic discussions. Heads of oil,
financial and media companies take part in the forum. The schedule
includes plenary sessions, seminars and round tables, meetings of
state officials and businessmen in bilateral and multilateral formats.


The 41st forum will see over 2,500 participants from over 100
countries. 1,400 of them are business officials and over 30 heads of
state.


The main topic for the forum in Davos held on January 26-30 is common
norms for the new reality. The sides will analyze the state of affairs
in the global economy and determine the new economic reality after the
global recession.
