Minsk will hold a session of the council of permanent authorized
representatives of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States)
member-states, AzerTAG reports.
The representatives will discuss the work of the council of the heads
of state media agencies of the CIS, established in 1995 to coordinate
cooperation in the information sphere.
The council is headed by the Director General of ITAR-TASS, Vitaly Ignatenko.
The council has been taking an active part in media projects on CIS
territory in the last few years. One of its main projects is the
www.ania-ntws.info website, opened in 2010.
The council will consider the plan for 2011 and the schedule of the
Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CIS in April.
Participants of the council will take part in a presentation of
software, entitled “Databank of the Single Registry of Legal and Other
Documents of the CIS”.
