The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, has signed a decree
“On proclaiming 2011 the year of the 20th anniversary of Independence
of the Republic of Kazakhstan", aimed at further strengthening the
independence, statehood, spiritual and cultural consolidation of the
people of Kazakhstan, as well as ensuring continuity and progressive
development, KazTAG reports citing the presidential press service.
“20 years of peace and creation” was proclaimed as the motto of the year.
