The council of the Kazakh presidential administration has viewed the
plan for celebrating the 20th anniversary of independence in 2010,
Trend reports.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said that the celebrations
should be pragmatic, so that every Kazakh citizen would feel the
state's care.
The plan for the celebrations was presented by Kanat Saudabayev,
Kazakh State Secretary and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The plan
includes concerts, scientific and practical conferences, forums, book
publications, exhibitions, youth events, contests etc.
Over $95million was provided for the anniversary. The president
ordered the government and the National Welfare Fund “Samruk-Kazyna”
to invite finances from Kazakh companies.
Every month will have a topic. January will be dedicated to Asian
games; February – to the high international authority of Kazakhstan;
March – to generations and family values; April – to
industrial-innovative development; May – to unity and tolerance; June
– to patriotism; July – to the capital of Kazakhstan; August – to the
Constitution; September – to knowledge and spiritual harmony; October
– to the development of villages; November – to augmented development;
December – will have the slogan “The 20 peaks of independence”.
Celebrations of the SCO anniversary and Kazakhstan's chairmanship of
the OIC in 2011 will be held in July.
The president ordered an anniversary medal to be struck for citizens
who contributed to the development of Kazakh independence.
Nazarbayev called for support for the initiative of Ashkhabad in
holding the events.
