The chairman of the Supreme Court (SC) of Russia, Vyacheslav Lebedev,
was awarded the highest award of the Chechen Republic, the order of
Kadyrov, for his significant contribution to the republic's judicial
system, RIA Novosti reports, quoting the press service of the Chechen
SC.
At the present moment there are 66 judicial district magistrates, 15
city and district courts and the Grozny Garrison Military Court in
Chechnya. According to the chairman of the Court, Ziyavdi Zaurbekov,
the formation of a federal judges system is also near to completion
and 104 out of 110 of them have been already appointed by the
president.
In the last ten years the courts of the Chechen republic have reviewed
over 25,000 criminal and more than 250,000 civil and administrative
cases, the chairman of the Supreme Court of the Chechen republic said.
