Georgia defined as country of "medium political risk"


Georgia, along with many European countries, is believed to be a
country of “medium risk,” according to a rating in the Political Risk
Atlas 2011, which was published by a British company, Maplecroft,
based on the assessment of investment risks, News- Georgia reports.

The study provides an index of investment risk in 196 countries around
the world and is composed from the following criteria: conflicts,
terrorism, the rule of law, regulations, business environment,
security, resources, human rights, climate change, infrastructure
development, education, poverty, etc.

The US, Australia, Japan and Scandinavian countries are among the
countries categorised as “low risk.”

Georgia, together with other countries, was labeled a country of
“medium risk”, while Russia belongs to the category of countries of
“extreme risk.”
