Armenia is not freezing its membership of the Parliamentary Assembly
of the Council of Europe (PACE) during the presidency of Mevlut
Cavusoglu, but it will not participate in the subcommittee on the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the head of the Armenian delegation to
PACE, the chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly
of Armenia on State and Legal Affairsm, David Harutyunyan, said on
Tuesday, RIA Novosti reports.
The PACE Bureau decided to resume the activities of the subcommittee
on the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh on the 28th of January. The creation
of the subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh provided Resolution 1416,
which states that Azerbaijan and Armenia, while members of the Council
of Europe, will use only peaceful means to resolve conflicts.
Earlier, Vestnik Kavkaza reported that Mevlut Cavusoglu announced his
full support of Azerbaijan in all spheres
