Head of Iranian Atomic Energy Organization refuses to take the post on permanent basis

The acting head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad
Ahmadian, has refused to take this post on a permanent basis, Fars
reports.

According to Fars, Ahmadian was regarded as the prime candidate for
this position. As deputy head of the organization, he was appointed
acting head of the structure after Ali Akbar Saleh was appointed the
Acting Foreign Minister of Iran.

On the 30th of January the Iranian parliament approved the nomination
of Salehi to the post of foreign minister.
