The main goal of the OSCE is high-scale participation in settling
regional conflicts, the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs
Audronius Azubalis said in Moscow, ITAR-TASS reports.
He said that they expect Russia to support the program of Lithuanian
chairmanship. The sides exchanged views on conflicts. Russia approved
the formalization of the talks in a 5+2 format. Azubalis underlined
that he will visit Kishinev on February 7 and then Kiev and Tiraspol.
The chairman said that he sees progress. Experts will meet in Vienna
on February 14-15, where they will discuss re-opening of talks on the
Trans-Dniestr problem.
Azubalis expressed pleasure with Russian efforts to settle
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He said that he will visit Azerbaijan and
Armenia in the near future. The official noted that they cooperate
with the Minsk Group. The main goal is prevention of conflict
escalation, he emphasized.
