An agreement on police cooperation between Armenia and Italy was
signed by Italian Interior Minister Roberto Maroni and the head of
Armenian police, Lieutenant General Alik Sarkisian, News Armenia
reports, citing the press-service of Armenian police.
The document was signed during the visit of an Armenian delegation to
Italy on 21-25 April.
The agreement is aimed at fighting transnational organized crime and
human, drugs and weapons trafficking, as well as the illegal
production and trafficking of drugs, human trafficking, as well as the
illegal transfer of nuclear materials and the prevention of terrorist
acts.
