The heads of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) governments
will meet in Minsk on May 20, Trend reports.
The schedule will be discussed at a council of authorized
representatives of the CIS states and other structures in Kiev on
February 8, a statement by the CIS Executive Committee says.
The schedule will include talks on the free trade zone, innovative
cooperation, food security, consumer rights protection, and peaceful
nuclear energy. Humanitarian documents will also be viewed.
The authorized representatives will form the schedule project at the
CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in Kiev in April 2011. There are
approximately 20 documents to be viewed. The heads of CIS states will
consider celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the CIS and the 70th
anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).
The schedule includes talks on security and migration, culture and
science, youth policy and education.
