Joint Turkish, Georgian, Azerbaijani projects maintain stability in the region – Davutoglu

It is important to develop regional cooperation to turn the Caucasus region into an energy and trade centre, Turkish Foreign Minister Akhmet Davutoglu said during a joint news conference with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze, reports TRT.

He also added that "joint Turkish, Georgian and Azerbaijani energy projects and established transit routes - the pipelines Baku-Tbilisi-Djeihan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, plus the railroad Baku-Tbilisi-Karas - maintain stability in the Caucasus region".

Davutoglu said the countries planned to turn the region into a prosperous energy and trade centre.
