One tourist was hit by an avalanche on the northern slope of Cheget
Mountain in Kabardino-Balkaria on February 10. The Emergencies
Ministry says that the avalanche hit the area 10.00 am. The avalanche
was caused by two tourists skiing in a forbidden zone. One of them is
still under snow, RIA Novosti reports.
Elbrus rescuers need to travel 2-3 km to the area.
