Georgia launched war against South Ossecia in 2008 - EU commision

Georgia was the country that has launched aggression against South Ossecia in August 2008. This was announced today in PACE the head of the EU mission, which has investigated the circumstances of the war outbreak in South Caucasus Haidi Tatiavini, reports ITAR-TASS.

"From our point of view it was Georgia, who has launched hostility against South Ossecia. We have not received any explanations the Georgia's actions from its side. Before the outbreak of the conflicts Russia's armed forced were inactive," - Tatiavini said.

She has named Gergia's aggression an "isolated act, and climax of tension". Meanwhile, she noted that, all sides are responsible for the conflict. Russia at its side ahs violated the international law by the recognition of independence of the "Georgia's separatist territories".
