Quarantine over flu and acute respiratory illnesses has been lifted in
Stavropol on February 10, Interfax reports.
Media had earlier reports that the disease incidence level exceeded
the admissible level of 6% and reached 10% in Stavropol. 87 education
centers, where 55,500 children study, were closed. February holidays
started in all 40 schools earlier. All the 15 schools in Kislovodsk
were closed on February 1.
13 of 29 schools in Pyatigorsk were closed.
Irina Kovalchuk, deputy head Federal Service for Oversight of Consumer
Protection and Welfare office in the region, said that the flu and
acute respiratory disease incidence dropped to 12% in the region and
7% in Stavropol/ The flu and common cold incidence among pupils in
Stavropol Territory dropped to 40%, and in the city of Stavropol to
52%.
