The EU has suspended Belarus from participation in the EU's Eastern
Partnership (Euronest) program, in response to the persecution of the
opposition, News-Azerbaijan reports, referring to the EU Observer.
A meeting of the members of the Eastern Partnership group will take
place in March in Brussels. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and
Moldova will be represented at the meeting.
EU sanctions came into force in February, refusing 158 Belarusian
officials entry into the EU , including President of Belarus Alexander
