A criminal case was initiated on murder of a candidate for the parliament of Adygeya from the Fair Russia Party from the electoral district N27 of Shovgenevsky District, Khajimos Khachetsukov, was initiated on Saturday. Investigation says that the murder has nothing to do with politics, spokesman of the Russian Investigation Committee says.
The candidate was found dead in Maikop on February 12. Investigators believe that he was shot dead for business activities. The murderers may get up to 15 years of prison.
The elections will be held on March 13, 2011.
