Opposition rallies in Tehran

Opposition rallies are taking place in Tehran, Trend reports,
referring to the official website of the opposition, Kaleme.com.

According to the site, meetings are being held on Liberty, Azadi and
Inglab Squares.

Earlier today, Iranian police surrounded the house of the leader of
the Iranian opposition, Mir Hossein Mousavi, and blocked all phone
lines, to prevent him from participating in a rally in support of the
Egyptian protesters, according to Kaleme.com.

According to the site, four representatives of the power structures
dressed as civilians confronted his wife Zahra Moussavi Rahnavard when
she attempted to leave the house.

Last week, opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi was sentenced to house arrest.
