Georgian parliament to talk on updating national security concept

The Georgian parliament will hold consultations on updating the
national security concept on February 15. Chairman of Parliament David
Bakradze said that the parliament will play the decisive role in
updating the security concept, initiated by the Secretary of the
Council of National Security, Giga Bokeria, Trend reports.


Bakradze urged the majority and the minority in the parliament to take
part in the process. The leader of the parliamentary minority, Georgy
Targamadze, expressed readiness to participate in the talks.


The leader of the “Mighty Georgia” faction, Giya Tortladze, demanded
that the parliament minority be allowed to take part. Bakradze said
that the talks will be held in the format of factions and committees,
allowing all deputies to speak.
