Terrorist suspects arrested at Moscow railway station

Four terrorist suspects have been arrested in Moscow. According to ITAR-TASS, the operation was carried out by the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department and transport militia.

Hasan Nazhaev, Ruslan Jusupov, Ramzan Haliyev and Angela Batalova bought tickets to Kishinev before they were detained on the platform of Kievsky railway station. Jusupov is thought to be the head of the group. Batalova was believed to have been the intended suicide bomber. All four were delivered to Chechnya for investigation.

The head of the ministry for Internal Affairs of Chechnya, Ruslan Alhanov, denied reports that the suspects intended to commit a terrorist attack. According to him, they tried to escape Russia.
