A wholesale market and a citrus fruit center will be organized on the
Abkhaz side of the Russian-Abkhaz border along the River Psou, Abkhaz
leader Sergey Bagapsh said, Yuga.ru reports.
He said that they will move the Cossack market from the border village
of Vesyoloye, in Russia, to Gechripsh, in Abkhazia.
Prime Minister Daur Tarba, the Agriculture Ministry and the
administration of Gagry District were ordered to organize the
wholesale trade on the border. Bagapsh believes that organizing trade
in Gudaut and Sukhumi will be beneficial for citizens and will make it
unnecessary for them to visit Russia for goods.
Bagapsh also reported that they plan to build a major bridge over the
River Psou to ease border crossing.
