Armenian president meets Georgian premier

Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri has invited Armenian President
Serzh Sargsyan to visit Georgia, on behalf of the Georgian president.


The Armenian president underlined the importance of bilateral
meetings, noting that they improve ties and expand cooperation in all
spheres.


He said that Armenian-Georgian trade and economic ties are developing
well. But trade turnover cannot be considered satisfactory and needs
boosting.


The Armenian president believes that Armenia and Georgia need to
improve partnership in culture. Such a view was expressed by the
president at a meeting with Gilauri in Yerevan. The initiative
includes holding school Olympics. Mikheil Saakashvili expressed
readiness to provide grants for Armenian students studying at Georgian
higher education centers and Armenia is ready to do the same, the
Armenian leader said, News Armenia reports.


Sargsyan and Gilauri also talked about improving ties between young
people of the two countries. They discussed the implementation of a
program for expansion of cooperation in culture, education and other
spheres.
