Chinese General Secretary Hu Jintao invited Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan to visit China on Thursday, to take part in the world
exhibition EXPO-2010 in Shanghai 1 May - 31 October, News Armenia
reports.
The president will be assisted by Armenian Foreign Minister Edward
Nalbandian, Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan and Minister of
Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan. He is expected to visit
the pavilions of Armenia, China, Russia and the USA at the EXPO-2010
exhibition.
The Armenian delegation will visit the city of Suzhou in the province
of Jianxi, where Sargsyan will see the Center of Science, Culture and
Art, the Innovation Center of Science and Education and the bus
factory of HIGER.
The Armenian president will also participate in the opening of the
joint Armenian-Chinese enterprise Shansi-Nairit, which will produce
chloroprene rubber in the city of Datun in Shanxi province. It is one
of largest joint Armenian-Chinese projects.
The international exhibition takes place every five years presenting
the world’s latest achievements in economic, scientific, education and
other spheres.
