Akopyan to remain head of National Security Service another five years

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree extending the service of the Director of National Security  Lieutenant-General Gorik Akopyan in the bodies of National Security to 11 February 2016, Novosti-Armenia reports citing the presidential press service.

Gorik Akopyan worked in the National Security since 1991, being the head of the Service since 2004.

Previously, Akopyan worked in various positions in the structure of the Soviet KGB.
