Russia's Stavropol Territory has launched the "Your initiative"
regional contest. One billion rubles were provided within the
framework of the contest, Yuga.ru reports.
The contest is aimed at supporting activities of children's and youth
public unions, development of constructive activities among youth and
realization of priority projects in the youth policy of 2011.
Participants of the contest touched upon such topics as prevention of
neglect, human rights violations and drug addiction, extremism among
youth, improvement of inter-ethnic ties, support of employment and
youth business, innovative activities, ecology, patriotism,
voluntarism and creativity.
It is the second event of such kind in Stavropol Territory. The
contest in 2010 saw over 75 works, 17 of them won and received
financing. All the initiatives were realized. The youth projects in
2010 also received 1 billion rubles of financing.
The "Your initiative" contest will be held in 4 stages and will end on
November 15, 2011. The projects will be realized until April 1, 2011.
