A rally of the Armenian National Congress has started in Yerevan. At
the present moment there are more than 5000 people gathered on the
square opposite the Matendarian Museum and more people continue to
arrive at the square, Armenia Today reports.
The Armenian authorities have reinforced security measures in
connection with the rallies. There is a large number of police
officers at the scene.
First president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosian, leader of the
“Republic” party Aram Sargsyan, the People's Party leader Stepan
Demirchyan, former Prime Minister Grant Bagratyan, ex-minister David
NB Shahnaryan and head of the ADP party Aram Manukyan are among the
protesters.
