Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has called for establishing a
reliable barrier in the path of any possible provocations against the
2014 Olympics in Sochi, RIA Novosti reports.
Dmitry Medvedev highlighted existing problems with Georgia and urged
monitoring of the activities of this country in connection with
preparations to the Olympics.
Relations between Moscow and Tbilisi have seriously deteriorated since
Mikheil Saakashvili came to power in Georgia seven years ago. The
crisis in relations between the two countries culminated in the South
Ossetian war in August 2008.
