U.S. Deputy State Secretary to discuss Karabakh in Yerevan

Delegation headed by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg will arrive in Armenia on February 24-26, News.am reports. Among other items of the visit's agenda, the deligation is to discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.

Steinberg twice met with Armenian authorities last year and discussed Karabakh issue. It is noteworthy that the meeting will be held on the threshold of Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents’ meeting in Moscow on March 5.

The Presidents’ meetings in the Russian Federation will be held on the initiative of the Russian side and Steinberg’s visit to Armenia illustrates theimportance that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairing countries attach to the problem.
