The CIS special services note the need to concentrate efforts on
fighting cyber-terrorism, which uses flash mobs for its purposes, head
of the CIS Counter-Terrorism Center Andrey Novikov said, RIA Novosti
reports.
Terrorists are spreading their extremist ideas, promoting violence and
recruiting members via the Internet, Novikov said at a meeting in
Moscow’s Odintsovo city, where heads of the CIS special services are
having a meeting under the auspices of the CIS Counter-Terrorism
Center.
Novikov emphasized the need to hire specialists in computers and
information technologies to reveal terrorist and extremist activities
on the internet. Flash mob and smart mob technologies should be
prevented.
A flash mob is a planned action with a scenario sometimes unclear for
passers-by.
