Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has met with Ingush leader
Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. The sides discussed the social-economic situation
in the republic. They noted the rising industrial output. Special
attention was paid to unemployment. Its level has dropped to 4.9%, the
press-service of the Russian government reports.
Yevkurov said that there was a slight price rise in all spheres of
economy in 2010. He noted that the industrial growth in some areas
improved by 10% and 20%. The only drop is the extraction of minerals,
the 06 region reports.
Yevkurov noted the increase of private investments in the republic and
a breakthrough in housing sphere. Housing increased by 400%, compared
with 2009. A new cottage village was built for landslide-stricken
citizens. Private housing construction is common as well.
The Ingush leader said that they had problems with unemployment. They
failed to achieve the 15-20% plans. The official unemployment level is
4.9%. Tax gathering increased by 25.4% in 2010.
