In the situation of the protests in Tripoli, the Libyan President Moammar Gaddafi has made a speech on the central television channel.
"Muammar Gaddafi does not have a post he can leave. He is not the president, he is the leader of the revolution - and he will die on this land as a martyr," Gaddafi said.
Earlier, Libyan state television informed its viewers that the Libyan leader will speak in front of the citizens on Green Square in the heart of the capital of Libya.
Last night, Muammar Gaddafi appeared in public for the first time since last week. He told reporters on national television that he is now in Tripoli, not Venezuela, "as false rumours say".
Gaddafi called on all Libyan citizens to join his supporters and to leave their homes and defend stability.
