A high-ranking police officer in Pyatigorsk has been detained for taking 1 million rubles as a bribe, the Inherent Security Department of the ministry told ITAR-TASS.
Police Colonel V. Galda, head of the logistics support center of the main police department in the North Caucasian Federal District, took the bribe worth 1.2 million rubles at the trade center in Pyatigorsk on February 22. He is suspected of taking bribes from directors of firms working for the Chief Directorate administrative building in exchange for signing work submission documents.
