The United States is interested in a quick settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of international law and the Helsinki principles, US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg said on his arrival in Baku.
"We hope for some progress in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and we believe that it is in the interests of both countries to move forward in this matter," Steinberg said.
According to the diplomat, it is very important to stick to a diplomatic solution to the conflict, because it is in the interests of all states in the region.
