Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantine Grishenko has hosted the 14th session of the GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers in Kiev, Trend cites the organization’s secretariat as saying.
Ministers of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan, Moldova, the deputy foreign minister of Georgia and the general secretary of GUAM took part in the session.
The sides approved the report on GUAM activities of the Secretariat of the Democratic and Economic Development Organization in 2010. Moldova will chair the organization in 2011.
They talked on the plan of cooperation of diplomatic missions of GUAM to the UN, the OSCE and other international organizations.
The ministers discussed GUAM cooperation with partner-states and other international organizations and GUAM-USA and GUAM-Japan meetings of the Council of National Coordinators.
The CFM approved information on the “Best banks of GUAM-2010” contest, information on the Coordination Council of GUAM Bank Associations and the Coordination Committee for the GUAM Business Council.
The CFM talked on cooperation and determined the priorities of the GUAM Working Group.
The CFM approved Georgia’s resolution at the UN General Assembly on cooperation between the UN and the GUAM Democratic and Economic Cooperation Organization in New York.
The CFM discussed cooperation in the GUAM and GUAM+ format. The next session terms will be determined via diplomatic means.
