President Dmitry Medvedev proposed candidates for the post of the head of Karachay-Cherkessia and the head of Chechnya. Medvedev introduced the candidate of Rashid Temrezova for the post of the head of the republic, ITAR-TASS reports.
Rashid Borispevich Temrezov was born March 14, 1976 in Cherkessk (Karachay-Cherkessia) in a family of a doctor.
In 1998 he graduated from the Moscow Open Social University, with a major in management. He worked in the commercial department of the “Karachay-Cherkessk Nefteproduct”, among others, as well as a commercial director of construction management companies and head of his own business for the production of plastic windows.
Since 2004 Temrezov served as director general of the state agencies' management of the capital construction of Karachay-Cherkessia, and then - the general director of the republic’s electrical company.
In January 2010, Temrezov was appointed head of the federal state institution "The Office for Federal Roads in the republic of Karachay-Cherkessia.
On February 26, 2011 Rashid Temrezov was appointed acting head of Karachay-Cherkessia after the resignation of the ex-head of Karachay-Cherkessia, Boris Ebzeev.
Dmitry Medvedev also suggested the parliament of the Chechen Republic to re-elect its current head, President Ramzan Kadyrov as head of the region.
