US ambassador discusses Caucasus with Russian Foreign Ministry

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Grigory Karasin, received on Monday the US ambassador to Moscow, John Byerly, Trend reports. During the conversation the Russian side raised issues related to the practical cooperation between the US and Russia in combating international terrorism, particularly in the Caucasus.

Attention was paid to the situation in the South Caucasus, which has been recently been visited by the US State Department representative, as well as preparation for the upcoming round of Geneva talks on security and stability in the region. The both sides also touched on the themes of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.
