Cadet College to open in North Caucasus

During a working trip to Stavropol Territory on Tuesday, Russian defense minister Anatoly Serdyukov examined a possible location of the Presidential Cadet School in the North Caucasus Federal District, RIA Novosti cites the Minister's press secretary, Irina Kovalchuk.
Serdyukov also visited a newly-built residential district for the military, which has 14 buildings with more than 2,500 apartments. Kovalchuk added that these homes are scheduled for occupation in April 2011.
By order of the Russian president, from 2010 to 2013 a presidential cadet college should be established in all federal districts. The aim of education in these institutes is to prepare young people for public service and a military or civilian career.
