It is the first time in a long time that the leaders of ethnic communities, experts on ethnic politics and the head of Moscow's non-governmental organizations and representatives of civil society have come together. The results of the discussions will be presented in a report to the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin,” the head of the fund Vitali Sednev said.
Many of the roundtable participants noted the negative impact of the lack of a clear national policy in past years. According to the editor-in-chief of VK, who also took part in the discussions, several specific suggestions for improving ethnic policy were discussed at the roundtable, which, indeed, may positively affect the inter-ethnic situation in Moscow and Russia in general, which has been extremely exacerbated in recent times.
