The head of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov guaranteed impartial investigations for surrendered militants, the president’s press-service said on Thursday.
He clarified that it will soften their punishments. Some people among militants may have committed no crime yet, he noted. With regard to relatives of militants, Kanokov said that he will consider each case personally..
Relatives of militants said that they will do their best to contribute to peace and convince militants to give up. They will use media sources to urge their children to leave the militants.
