South Ossetian authorities reported that from March 1, the Interdepartmental Commission to assist in the reconstruction and socio-economic development of South Ossetia will stop its work.It is acknowledged that the Commission completed the assigned task. Now Moscow and Tskhinvali will cooperate in the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission, established in March, 2010.
***The painting of M. Tuganov “Execution of thirteen of the Communards” was stolen from the local history museum. Earlier the Ministry of Culture of South Ossetia wanted to show this picture as a proof of genocide of Ossetian people in the first half of the 20th century.
***The winner of the first stage of competition for the best coverage of issues of Russian-South Ossetian cooperation has been announced. It is a journalist from "South Ossetia” newspaper Yuri Vazagov. Contest organizers have noted his activity in this topic.***On March 8 the ceremony of admittance to the Pioneers will take place. Revival of the Pioneer organization will occur in the secondary school № 5. Other schools are ready to pick up this initiative.***
Tskhinvali continues collecting appeals to the European Court of Human Rights from those injured furring the military operation in 2008. Earlier 3000 appeals were sent to the Strasbourg court, half of which was rejected. The applicants demand the admission that Georgia was guilty of aggression against South Ossetia.
