Russia hopes for positive results from Sochi Summit

The OSCE Minsk Group should be the primary negotiating platform in the Karabakh peace settlement process, Russia's permanent representative to the OSCE, Anvar Azimov, stated today.

He was speaking at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, which was also attended by Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, ITAR-TASS reports.

“We are willing to do whatever we can to help the parties come to the long-awaited settlement,” said Azimov. Russia's position is consistent and remains unchanged: Moscow is against imposing a recipe from the outside on the participants in the conflict, Azimov added.

Azimov also noted that Russia hopes for positive results from the summit in Sochi on March 5, which will bring together the Presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia.
